Long ago I was in Vietnam. Later on, many were in Afghanistan and Iraq, before I was in Vietnam people were in Europe and Africa and all of us were fighting wars. Do you ever stop to think how little actually is remedied by war? It’s like a bucket of water on a forest fire yet we do it over and over and over again. Talk about imperfection, which I often do as imperfection is one of the great equalizers. In fact, it should be considered before judging anyone on this planet.
How many times have you screwed up? How badly and did you do it yet again? I cannot count the ways I have screwed up yet here I am. Did you ever put yourself in a situation where death was more likely? I phrase it like that because death awaits at any time, anyplace but some of us put ourselves in or near a place where death makes a habit of showing up on a regular basis. War, hospitals, freeways. It’s a wonder any of us reach age fifty and this applies to men much more than women. I dare you to do . . . ? What? Ever accept a dare as a kid or as a malcontented adult. Dumber than a post are we men. Yet, that is only some of us while others choose to stay out of the “manthing” and head right on over to the “brainthing.” Diagnosing themselves as something they are not and crying when they aren’t accepted. Freedom only goes so far and changing yourself into an impossible entity is one of those that goes too far.
Right, I am being a bit vague but that is because, outside of politics, I am not a finger pointer. Some of you get my drift though. We all do stupid things but some seem to find it a way of life. As if they can’t help themselves until they are incarcerated or dead. I’ve seen this far to often and it is a sickening feeling because you couldn’t say anything sensible to that person and now they went and got themselves killed. A full life is drastically overrated. There is no fullness with out chances taken which is a great way to shorten our all to brief stay on this lovely little planet.
On the other hand, at least we don’t get severely over populated! BONUS!
