How many days are not accounted for in your lifetime? How many days of that period were eventful and how many desultory? Is there one day in the past seven years that stands out to you in a positive way? Nah, you don’t have to answer this but it is one way I look at my days. When was the last day that I made great progress in something or other? Today is one as I put up a Discourse website but made sure it was membership by approval. That forum is HERE. I don’t have much thre as tomorrow is when I will begin populating it with text.

Days do march by though don’t they. It seems like yesterday I was fifty and now I am seventy-eight (dang near!) Broken hip or no I make each day count or I consider that a day lost. Prayer is said by me each day. Sometimes a lot and sometimes a little depending on what I think of how I’ve done the day before. It is true that I am my chief critic. I don’t like a lot of what I’ve done, or had to do, in my life. War sucks whether you win or lose it. Being in the service, however, i show you make it for yourself. Rules, whn obeyed, make life easier. When disobeyed life geets complicated for no good reason except a minimal revolt against what is good for you. This is when fools come out of the woodwork. I saw my share of sailors leave our ship and to the brig. Disobeying rules gets people killed in war. There is no room for disobedience.

The same goes for civilized society. Rules are not made to be broken, they are made out of necessity to save or assist those who follow the rules. Protestors follow neither rules nor logic. They just are like a running sore on your mouth. Good riddance when they’re finally gone. Just a few thoughts for today. Take ’em or leave ’em.
