Billions of questions, theories, and formulae later just where are we now? Why, right here where we started, one might say. Oh, we seem to have shifted a parsec or two from where we originally began, others might say. Definitions of the question then need parsing so that we know what we are asking but is it the answer we are looking for or merely a pseudo-intellectual pursuit and, is our question framed correctly or does it shine a light on our ignorance?
Ignorance, ignorant. If two words exist that are more offensive to be called than the preceding two I don’t know which words they might be. Yet, most of us are ignorant about everything we are unfamiliar with from New York City to the seas on Mars and all in between. That is the “out” portion of ignorance but the “inner” portion is probably far greater. How far “in” can the mind go? “In” is about as simple a word as exists unless one steps back and asks about that word as applies to the mind. Two letters, one vowel, one consonant opens up new vistas and yet we take simple words for granted.
Then we juxtapose this on the mountains of words used to get oneself elected to office and shake our heads. If one two letter word gives so much room to speculate how can we trust those mountains of words that politicians use? Why, we need to think before voting. Simple, yet, seldom done or we would all be better off and there are few answers to most questions so we take one another at our word. Except some take advantage of us by telling us words we want to hear but those words lack intent by the speaker.
Finally, how smart are we? This is the question which should be asked before casting a vote. Just a simple equation in the form of a couple paragraphs for you to dwell on or cast out immediately upon reading.
