We have only one chance to get old. Somehow, I got that chance. There were times when I thought I would die young in combat. Never happened so I got old. Old. What does old mean to you? Decrepit and mentally deficient? Lame? Doddering old fool? Nah, it is just old and old is merely a compilation of years, decades and events. Muddled is the way I would describe old. No longer respected? That is a fear one has when they approach eighty.
The huge difference of old is the understanding that we knew nothing when we were young. Of course, that depends on what choices one made while young. Poor choices make a person look dumb but not until you get old. Old is the time you wish you had made better choices. How smooth life’s road would have been had we made better choices. Peer group influence is a factor but a minor one. Peer group influence does not go away when you get old if you allow that influence; just like when you were young. Young. A word that describes the human species before say, forty? Forty is half my age. The question becomes then, what did life teach us?
Fools all over the place is what we should learn. There’s fools in high places that force their foolishness on the underlings of society in such a way as to make foolery seem cool. Being a fool takes a lot of work from influencer’s but only works on susceptible minds. Communist dogma is a fools errand but it is being sold all over the place. Don’t buy it and you can get old nicely. Buy it and you are doomed to be under the hand of the childish minds of those who sold it. That is how it has worked out since the 1960s.
Foolishness is fodder for social debauchery which is all communism is. Nobody has all the answers and those who do made up the answers to sell to dummies. Are you dumb? You are if you bought socialism. You are if you listened to false history of this country. Fools are loud and perverse selling snake oil to the unwashed minds of society.
Change is second to second. A few hours ago I was asleep and as of now I am saying stuff I realized long ago. Agreement or disagreement from my readers depends on how they have thought through their lives. If, that is, they thought through their lives and remained independent of mind so that they forged their own road without harming others. Doing others any type of harm is wrong as hell. Making another’s life difficult is wrong as hell. Stopping traffic or throwing stones at protests is wrong as hell. What the hell are you thinking if you are harming others? That you are better than they? If you do I have news for you. You are worse than those you purport are incorrect in their thinking. You are then a fool in the midst of throwing out wisdom of the ages. Do no harm. Simple and easily self-enforced.
Looking back I realize I followed my own rules mentioned above because I followed nobody. I forged my own path according to what I learned from experience and I didn’t listen to group think. Instead, I followed the scriptures and allowed only that influence on me because I knew it came from goodness, not evil. Change, it happens every second. Unless you are stable.
