I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the above expression. If something is over that you’re supposed to forget about just how serious was the “incident” and how in blue blazes is a guy supposed to forget about it?

Say, a guy gets shot in the arm with a .38 bullet in a robbery and someone tells him (or her, for the politically correct), It’s over now, forget about it. Same thing with a broken leg that I got skateboarding long enough ago that I naturally should have forgotten about it. Broke my lower right leg in two place, ripped two tendons and was on crutches for three months in high school and I’m supposed to forget about it? That was the last time I skateboarded. I started skiing instead. Never pulled a muscle, broke a bone, or sprained so much as a thumb skiing. Go figure, I can’t.

I think I will begin thinking in terms of this type of statement and write about such nonsense a little more here. Call it, payback for all the numbskulls that told me to forget about it. How many times have I been injured? Well, how many times have I been in the hospital: three. Back, knee, fractured vertebrae (cervical). Hey, I’m doing fine, no legitimate complaints except with the democrat partiers. (I can’t seem to show respect for the dems any longer. I’d like to but they have to give up on stupid first.)
