Where Have I Been?

Normally, I am certain to post every two days or more if I have something to say. It’s been five days now and I have been busy. Then again, other than a few hours in the evening, when have I not been busy since age fifteen? I won’t go into that here. My first job was as a summer fire fighter and I did that for the last two summers of my junior and senior years of high school, graduating in 1966. Two years later I was being trained to go to Vietnam. At least I knew how to wear a uniform by then.

My “hobby,” or, more like it, “habit,” when I am distracted is working with code building websites via Terminal. None of those ready-made websites you pay and arm and a leg for. I build some pretty complex websites and I finished one up today which is a “Discourse” website. It is online even as I write this here.

You are welcome to join should you also be interested in building websites. I built this to publish code in the form of tutorials which I’ve been putting together for around five years now. As long as AI is now a “thing” I use it to check my code or even to edit my code if need be. I publish nothing there without trying it first, as to my tutorials. What is there works if you know Terminal and understand Linux, Ubuntu 24.04 to be exact. It is fun, constructive and non-political. It is also what has consumed my time and interrupted my schedule of posting here. I am fixing that as of this post.
