You & I

I’ve been listening to politicians for decades. In that time America has gone from boom to bust more than once. Considering that I began to understand the news on TV when Walter Cronkite was the anchor you can understand that I have seen quite a lot of news as pertains to America and our mixed up world. It is this world that makes the news and local items such as death and greed haven’t the same influence on our lives so much as what happens in the world at large.

The fact is that the pronoun, I, is really just one voice with one opinion among millions of opinions and a cacophony of voices. One voice, in this case, mine, is no more important than one bird in a flock of birds. I speak while I take breath then go quietly into the night. It is a wonder that anything gets done or, more correctly, done properly with so many voices.

I complain about politics always, on the one hand, and enjoy the heck out of the battle that rages between Republicans and Democrats on the other. It is silliness in the long run but politics is about the “now.” What can I do to help the citizens versus what can I do to milk the bank accounts of citizens when they aren’t looking. Thieves and hooligans are what make up a small portion of both parties. Those we see shining on a hilltop are few and far between. They sound good, say the right things, then twist the knife in our backs as citizens. I thought the government was ours? I know it isn’t the politicians anymore than is the car we made payments for all those years. We paid for the car, it is ours. It belongs NOT to the government. Is that how they see it?

Well, that is the rub now isn’t it? And, that is the reason I take my time to write on this website. To speak of those things that others may not have the time to see in their busy lives. The rancor that is of fruitless energy pitting party against party when both parties have our money in mind by the now trillions of dollars. Can they ever tax enough to pay off that kind of debt? Can we survive when these scoundrels come up against the inevitable wall of financial ruin? It is both sides but only one side is willing to take America down and that is the Democrats who want socialism.

Socialism is older than I am and it has never worked. Look at Europe, now a moldy consortium of hoity-toity idiots drooling over how socialist they can make their citizens. We don’t want to go that way do we? Not if we understand human nature we don’t. Human nature is another subject that it takes history to explain. I don’t have time to recite world history here. No, not nearly enough at my age. Suffice it to say that humans are good and bad and voting is what we do to be certain the bad are not ruling us. But, bad is also nefarious so it pays to do your homework before voting socialist. Go with Republican government for as long as possible. Long enough for the socialist experiment to implode, which it always does.

SAY NO TO SOCIALISM!
