Are we here due to circumstance, luck, roll of the dice, or because we are meant to be here? One might suppose that our presence isn’t luck so much as biological circumstance. By calling it, “circumstance,” we remove fate or odds or glorification and allow room for objectivity. One might also suppose that our being here could be as simple as a man and woman wanting a family but that would be under the best of circumstances. Many are born unwanted and that is where circumstance can also be applied. Lessons learned are circumstance and that means that invoking circumstance is what people do when an unwanted child comes from their getting together.

I love circumstance because it is the most non-biased of words and takes out religion, luck and roll of the dice. Those can be applied but they come with baggage that isn’t rational. Irrational behavior is how people end up with unwanted children and the unwanted then become baggage rather than lives to be loved.

This is where morality comes in, isn’t it? Morality has been beaten over the head since the mid-1960s when the “Pill” was introduced. Love then became sex and marriage took a back seat for most young people and the incidents of divorce soared. Morality, a word also beaten into submission, cowed and relegated to the past.

And, we wonder why society is so screwed up now? You can apply any kind of logic you want for the reason but, the absence of morality is going to sneak up and beat you over the head as it wants to be considered. It wants to be brought back if we have a chance of treating one another like human beings. Simple moral standards like respect for men to women and human to human without the labels that the political party on one side keeps gluing on our faces to mask that we are just simple and wonderful human beings.
