As far as where we live it is the result of two reasons: choice or necessity. Myself, mine was choice as I owned a new business in a new place and had to move here. Once here, I moved as I got older, more financially steady, and had choices for my house and property. The rub is that I continued to grow older and now I live in my last home. Oh well, at least I worked hard enough to get here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working in one’s own business is not like working in a factory or like being an employee in some small company. It is full on responsibility for the business and the customer, the taxes and making certain your business stays on top of other businesses selling the same goods and services. To do this you need to hire and that is the make or break aspect of a successful service oriented business: the employees. (Given that the owner of the business is on top of the financials at all times.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then you have insurance, workers compensation, vacations, health plans, bickering, and unknown happenstance. All in all, owning a business is not for the lazy or disinterested and God help you if an employee has been hiding a drinking problem. Talk about a walking time bomb!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I never enjoyed cities as I was raised in the country. I don’t mind driving through them as that is an experience unto itself. A country fella on city streets is a driver to stay clear of though. Unless the road signs are well maintained and planned to show you where you need to turn before you’re there. Don’t ever take a country boy and force him into a city life. Country boys do not want anything to do with communal living. It ain’t healthy and someone is going to get hurt. Just a few thoughts from my past.<\/p>\n
