In so many ways I am stuck in the position of disagreement with social media. Oh, I am a member in good standing on X but I dislike more than half of what is posted there. Gunfight at the OK Corral is more a theme on X than constructive dissertation. One might suppose that this is typical but I ask, why. Why is this typical? Social media sucks as it is not in the least constructive. At least, the way I see it.
But, then, I am old and was not brought up to swear and actually got my mouth washed out with soap when I did. You just don’t use the “F” bomb in front of your parents! Then again, as kids we think we know it all because we have seen damn near nothing. In Vietnam we swore quite a bit. When I got home it took me a while to stop. Maybe I should have continued as coming home was like coming from a pressure cooker to a vacuum. Quite a change, eh? Ask a soldier from Desert Storm. He’ll tell you the same. Different environment, same risks.
Oh well, he said wondering if anyone would understand his drivel. It are what it are and nobody can change the past. The past is passed and so is everyone who was in it. Ask Caesar. The “Julius” variety. He had it made then he died. WE all die and that is today’s lesson because we have one chance to get it right but very few take it. Right? What does that mean? Who is right in this world and who, then, is wrong? Depends on who you ask doesn’t it? This is why I always recommend the bible to folks. It will, at the very least, make you think. At the very most it will save you from yourself. I know this only too well.
