What ain’t right? The U.S., the president, your neighbor, the dog down the street that barks all night, the bird that crapped on your windshield, the entirety of our world? Nah, it’s you, if these things bother you, that ain’t right because you have little to no understanding of imperfection. You know, being imperfect just like the rest of us are? You don’t expect milk from a pine tree do you? That ain’t milk no matter what you want to call it. Who told you that you are not a pain in the ass anyhow?
After Vietnam I had to run through this litany and what doing so did for me is to say that I am imperfect as the next dope. True, I may have been through a lot more in my life than some people but nothing about me is special. Not a blessed thing about me is special. Sure, I know how to build websites, work with servers, understand code but that makes only a small part of me superior in only one hair on the universes head.
I get sick of idiots who say things as though they had answers to anything concerning human nature. Human nature changes one minute to the next and most people find out the hard way that they are not superior to anyone except maybe that barking dog down the street. That isn’t much of a ladder to climb now is it? Careful you don’t slip and fall off that short ladder!
Still, we are a scrappy lot aren’t we? What does it take for all of us to get along? Belief and belief only in the Christian sense, the biblical sense. I have looked at all paths over the decades and the only one that always make sense is the bible because it throws out most of what humans like to think. Thinking is deleterious to mental health for many of us. People who think they are special are merely stating that their ego is out of control. Some are better at some things than others but those who stake their lives on faith have nothing to prove to anyone. It is that quiet place we all look for if we can see around our brains. Thought of a non-spiritual nature is worthless and if you don’t believe me look at the shape our world has always been in. Not just now but always. A state of perpetual imperfection. Childish? No, quite adult is what this actually is and this is the reason faith is so unpopular. “Many will be called but few will be chosen.” Think on it. That is not a quote from me.
