When people want to abolish any police force one needs ask themselves the simple question: Why? Granted, it seems now that police are everywhere and we see a cop at almost every turn. If you will pardon me, I want to go back to the 1950s, when I was a kid.
In those days there were not anywhere near the police forces that exist now. My little town had a police force and everyone knew the Chief and the individual officers. And they knew most of us and waved when they passed in their patrol cars. It was, of course, different in the larger cities because more people in a confined space create more difficulties that need sorting out.
I recall in the seventies that some new state and federal police forces were created to handle increased crime as our population grew, drugs proliferated, and thinking of individuals became acrid. As our civilization got more crowded, ideas of getting around the law, think drugs, got more complex and voila, today. Of course, presidents then were in their right minds in both parties so thinking alike was much more prevalent.
Today, drugs are society based and not an outlier as they were back in the 1970s. Urban thought became drug addled and police were considered a “bummer.” You see, much, if not all of this “rebellion” can be traced right back to the advent of drugs being done by so many in each strata of society that the law became archaic in the minds of the rebels of modern times.
ICE has a need or they wouldn’t have been created. Our former president thought it a good idea to allow most anyone in the world into our nation. Does that sound like a good idea to you? Put another way, do you open your home or apartment’s front door and allow anyone to come into your abode? This minimal analogy merely squares as that analogy grows to nation status. Trump is absolutely correct in closing our borders.
So, who is it that thinks closed borders are a bad idea. Only loco minds. Minds that are so narrow that other peoples well being matters not to locos. Life is all about them! Those locos who consider themselves superior to the rest of the world when they are not tending to the facts the worlds reality. The world is screwed up and so are many of its population. Screwed up by having too little or too much to eat, drink, inject, cohabitate, or throw away. Spoiled brat or desperation comes to mind. Neither of these is what the average American has. We are ones who would just like to go about our business and not have others tell us how to live or who we need to live with.
Force always backfires, eventually and that is what ICE is all about. Removing those who have no business in this country anymore than you would give the keys to a Ferrari to a three year old for his or her birthday. In this world, our nation, America, is the equivalent of a Ferrari in the motor world. It has to be handled properly or it will easily get away from a person.
Consider going on a months vacation and leaving your front door open and unlocked with a note on the front door saying: “Make yourselves at home.” Welcome to Biden’s America! Not Trumps, or mine, or . . . yours?
