The title has to do with our paths through life. If, that is, one is interested in eternity. I once thought that living to and through eternity was science fiction but I began reading Scripture again. Say, around 1978. I studied with a group of religious people who came door to door and were not Mormons. I want nothing to do with Mormons but the door to doorers were kind of interesting. For one thing, they were current with Scripture but they were also a bit off the mark as far as my joining them. I kind of like to call the shots as I have had others call the shots and they sent me into combat. I don’t think they were trying to get me killed but they might as well have been. Luck? Good Fortune? Not my time? Who the heck has any idea! I’m here so I am also grateful to be breathing when so many were left in the jungle never to come home.
You see, combat makes a guy think unlike those who don’t get shot at on a consistent basis. I found God and I think He saw me through because I also learned to pray for, of all things, deliverance. That is the only reason I don’t have a computer six feet under. Weird, huh? Consider the foregoing the broad path. The wide road. The super highway.
Scripture tells us of a narrow path and seeing as how God owns everything I suppose He can tell us how to act in life? He gave us life and listen to the roar of the Madding crowd! It is truer than anything humanity has ever written, Scripture, and I think you may begin understanding that humanity is more frail than we might think. Take my word for it as I had on the job training in frailty of human life. Or, how to disorganize a human using explosives. It works like a charm!
The narrow road is the moral road. I speak of morality which is not a lot more than treating others as you want to be treated. I think it was Jesus that told us that. Yeah, It WAS Him.
This is what I call a, FWIW, article. For what it’s worth, for those who recently graduated from university. I will speak of the narrow path as time permits. I bet you can hardly wait?
