Harry Truman was the president when I was born. Now, that feels like another dimension when I look out at the world. A world in which I sailed half of while serving in the Navy during Vietnam. Yet, I am now older than I would like to be so I take it as it comes. I got through Vietnam unscathed so getting old is a blessing of sorts. Which sort is the question.’
I never would have guessed that socialist tendencies would ever have taken hold when I was young. We all loved our country and those who didn’t were simply labeled, communists. We had comparisons of other countries which we never wanted to see here. World War Two had demonstrated how mighty a free people can be. Free to think as we wished and to be the originators of new concepts and inventions. Some for war, some for society. Then, the leftists took their chainsaws to our greatness and began clear cutting our forest of freedom with their laughable politics. They’d been at it, slowly and purposefully, for one hundred years or since around 1900. This is who the democrat party became: Progressive sans communists. Republicans, well, Republicans are better for America and that is without question. Some are far too full of themselves though and think it is being an individual to buck the system. Fools for showing a lack of unity in the face of communism. Perhaps they need to sit back down and consider this alternative to our once free country?
I wanted to get this out and will post it on X also today. I have, in the meantime, begun a political website here. I would love to see you there so that I can see your interest in being conservative.
